What does this app do?

Order Bulk Delete Manager helps you efficiently manage and delete multiple orders at once in your Shopify store. It's perfect for cleaning up test orders, removing spam orders, or managing order backlogs with advanced filtering and export capabilities.

Is it safe to use?

Yes! The app includes confirmation prompts before any deletion and maintains a complete audit trail of all actions. However, order deletions are permanentand cannot be undone. We recommend exporting orders to CSV before deletion.

What are the pricing plans?

The app is currently free during beta. Production pricing will be €0.99/month with no order limits. All features included - no hidden fees or premium tiers.

Do you store my order data?

No. We only store session tokens and audit logs (which orders were deleted, when, and by whom). We never store order contents, customer data, or payment information. All order data is fetched directly from Shopify when you open the app.

🔧 Installation & Setup


How do I install the app?

Visit the Shopify App Store (or use the direct install link), click "Add app", and approve the requested permissions. The app will be available in your Shopify admin under Apps. See our Tutorial for detailed instructions.

What permissions does the app need?

The app requires:

  • read_orders: To display your orders
  • write_orders: To delete orders
  • read_customers: (Optional) To display customer names in order list

Can I uninstall the app anytime?

Yes! Simply go to Settings → Apps and sales channels → [Your app] → Uninstall. All your data (sessions, audit logs) will be automatically deleted 48 hours after uninstallation, as required by Shopify's GDPR compliance.

How do I delete multiple orders at once?

1. Select orders using checkboxes
2. Click "Delete selected" button at the top
3. Confirm the deletion
You can also use Ctrl/Cmd + A to select all visible orders.

What filters are available?

The app includes powerful filters:

  • Date Range: Today, Yesterday, Last 7/30 days, This month, All time
  • Payment Status: Paid, Pending, Refunded, Partially Refunded
  • Fulfillment Status: Fulfilled, Unfulfilled, Partially Fulfilled
  • Search: Search by order number or details

Can I export orders before deleting?

Yes! Select the orders you want to export, then click "Export CSV" in the bulk actions menu. The CSV includes order number, date, total, payment status, and fulfillment status. We highly recommend exporting before deletion.

What are the keyboard shortcuts?

Power user? Try these shortcuts:

  • Ctrl/Cmd + K: Focus search bar
  • Ctrl/Cmd + A: Select all orders
  • Delete or Backspace: Delete selected orders
  • Enter: Submit search

Can I view order details before deleting?

Yes! Click "View details" next to any order to see:

  • Order items (products, quantities, prices)
  • Payment and fulfillment status
  • Order total

You can also delete directly from the details modal.

How many orders can I delete at once?

You can select and delete up to 50 orders at once. The app displays 50 orders per page by default. For larger deletions, use filters to segment orders into batches.

🔍 Troubleshooting


Orders aren't showing up - what's wrong?

Common causes:

  • Filters are active - click "Clear all" to reset
  • App permissions not granted - reinstall the app
  • No orders in your store - create test orders first
  • Date range filter excluding orders - try "All time"

Why can't I delete certain orders?

Shopify restricts deletion of orders that:

  • Have active fulfillments in progress
  • Are currently being processed by payment gateway
  • Have pending refunds or chargebacks
  • Are locked by other apps or integrations

Try archiving these orders instead, or cancel them first in Shopify admin.

The app is slow or timing out

If the app is slow:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try clearing browser cache and cookies
  • Reduce date range or apply filters to load fewer orders
  • Delete in smaller batches (10-20 orders at a time)

I deleted orders by mistake! Can I restore them?

Unfortunately, no. Order deletions in Shopify are permanent and irreversible. This is a Shopify limitation, not an app limitation. Always:

  • Double-check your selection before confirming
  • Export to CSV before deleting
  • Use filters carefully to avoid selecting wrong orders

🔒 Security & Privacy


Is my data secure?

Yes. We use:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data
  • OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication
  • HMAC signature verification for webhooks
  • Secure database hosted by Prisma.io
  • No third-party tracking or analytics

Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes, fully compliant. We implement all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks and automatically delete shop data 48 hours after uninstall. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What about audit trails?

Every deletion is logged with timestamp, user, order ID, and order value. Audit logs are retained for 90 days for compliance purposes, then automatically purged. You can request your audit logs at any time.

Can you access my store data?

No. We cannot access your store or view your data. The app only has the permissions you explicitly grant during installation. You can revoke access anytime by uninstalling the app.

Is there a free trial?

The app is currently completely free during beta testing. Production pricing will be €0.99/month with no trial needed - just uninstall if it's not for you!

Are there any hidden fees or limits?

No hidden fees. €0.99/month includes:

  • Unlimited order deletions
  • All features (filters, export, keyboard shortcuts)
  • Email support
  • Regular updates

How do I cancel my subscription?

Simply uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. No cancellation process needed. You won't be charged for any partial months.
