Learn how to use Order Bulk Delete Manager

This tutorial will guide you through all features of the app. Estimated time: 10 minutes

🚀 Quick Start


Step 1: Install the App

  1. Visit the Shopify App Store or use the direct link
  2. Click "Add app" button
  3. Review the requested permissions
    • After installation:
    • the app requires these permissions to function:
  4. Click "Install app" to approve
  5. You'll be redirected to the app dashboard

Step 2: Access the App

  1. In your Shopify admin, click "Apps" in the left sidebar
  2. Find "Order Bulk Delete Manager" in your apps list
  3. Click to open the app
  4. The app will load and display your orders

📋 Basic Features


Viewing Orders

When you open the app, you'll see a table with your orders:

  • Order number:
  • Date:
  • Customer:
  • Total:
  • Payment status:
  • Fulfillment status:

💡 Tip: The app shows 50 orders per page by default.

Deleting a Single Order

  1. Find the order you want to delete
  2. Click the red "Delete" button in that row
  3. A confirmation modal will appear
    • Number of orders to be deleted
    • Warning about permanence
    • Export option before deletion
  4. Click "Delete" to confirm or "Cancel" to abort
  5. Success notification will appear confirming deletion

⚠️ Warning: Deletions are permanent and cannot be undone!

Viewing Order Details

  1. Click "View details" button next to any order
  2. A modal will open showing order information
    • Order number and date
    • Customer information
    • Line items and quantities
    • Payment and fulfillment status
    • Shipping address
  3. You can delete directly from the modal or close it

⚡ Advanced Features


Bulk Deletion

  1. Select orders using checkboxes on the left
  2. Or use Ctrl/Cmd + A to select all visible orders
  3. The bulk actions toolbar will appear at the top
  4. Click "Delete selected" button
  5. Confirm the bulk deletion
  6. All selected orders will be deleted

💡 Pro Tip: Select fewer than 50 orders at a time for better performance.

Using Search

  1. Click the search box at the top (or press Ctrl/Cmd + K)
  2. Type your search term
    • Order numbers (#1001)
    • Customer names
    • Email addresses
    • Product names
  3. Press Enter or click "Search" button
  4. Results will filter automatically
  5. Click "X" icon to clear search

Applying Filters

Date Range Filter:

  1. Click the 'Date Range' dropdown
  2. Select a preset or choose 'Custom Range'
    • Today:
    • Yesterday:
    • Last 7 days:
    • Last 30 days:
    • This month:
    • All time:
    • Custom range:
  3. For custom ranges

Payment Status Filter:

  1. Click the 'Payment Status' dropdown
  2. Select one or more statuses
    • Paid
    • Pending
    • Refunded
    • Partially refunded
    • Voided
    • Authorized
  3. Orders are filtered instantly

Fulfillment Status Filter:

  1. Click the 'Fulfillment Status' dropdown
  2. Select one or more statuses
    • Fulfilled
    • Unfulfilled
    • Partially fulfilled
    • Scheduled
    • On hold

Clearing Filters

  • Click 'Clear all' to reset all filters
  • Or click the X on individual filter tags
  • Search field clears separately with its X button

Exporting to CSV

  1. Select orders to export (or all visible)
  2. Click 'Export CSV' in the action bar
  3. File downloads automatically
    • Order number
    • Date
    • Customer name
    • Email
    • Total
    • Payment status
    • Fulfillment status
    • Line items

Always export orders before bulk deletion for backup purposes

Speed up your workflow with these keyboard shortcuts

Note: Keyboard shortcuts work when no modal is open and no text field is focused


Common Workflows


Cleaning Test Orders

  1. 1. Filter by 'Today' or recent date range 2. Search for test order names or #0 prefix 3. Select all matching orders 4. Export to CSV for records 5. Click Delete and confirm

Monthly Order Cleanup

  1. 1. Set date range to previous month 2. Filter by 'Fulfilled' status 3. Review orders carefully 4. Export full list first 5. Delete in batches of 50

Removing Spam/Fraud Orders

  1. 1. Search for suspicious email patterns 2. Filter by 'Pending' payment status 3. Review each order before selection 4. Document for fraud prevention 5. Delete and report to Shopify if needed

Bulk Archive Alternative

  1. 1. Export all orders to CSV first 2. Store CSV in secure location 3. Filter orders for deletion 4. Delete in organized batches 5. Keep audit log for reference

Important Reminder

Order deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Shopify does not provide a way to restore deleted orders. Always maintain backups!
